Warning: My stamp truss snapped on a 20x30 pour and I almost lost the whole slab
Had a truss snap on me last Thursday during a 20x30 driveway pour out in the west valley. I was about 40 feet into screeding when the whole middle section just gave out and sagged down into the wet mud. Had a helper grab the bull float while I tried to prop it back up with a 2x4, which only made it worse and left a low spot I had to fight for the next 20 minutes. Cost me about two yards of extra mud and a 6 hour day turned into 11. I think the pin on one of the joints was bent from getting tossed in the trailer, but I'm not sure. Anyone got a trick for saving a sag like that without tearing the whole thing out?
