TIL I was over-troweling for years, a water blister finally showed me

I've been doing flatwork since 2014, mostly driveways and patios around Grand Rapids. Last month on a 400 square foot pour, I noticed this weird blistering right as I was finishing, so I backed off the power trowel and just let it sit. Turned out I was running the machine way too long and too fast, which was trapping bleed water under the surface. Anyone else have a finishing habit that took a total failure to break?

How fast were you running it when the blister showed up? I'm trying to figure out if it's a speed issue or just total time on the surface.
