I found a barely used floor sander at a garage sale for forty bucks last summer. The guy selling it thought it was broken, but I just had to clean the carbon brushes and it runs like new. That kind of luck makes me wonder what else people are tossing out.

My buddy Dan had a similar thing happen with an old table saw. He found it at a flea market for like fifty bucks, the guy said the motor was shot. Turns out it was just a loose wire in the switch, Dan fixed it in ten minutes and now he has a saw that would've cost him three hundred new. It's wild how people just give up on stuff because they don't want to poke around inside it for a minute. Makes you wonder how many perfectly good tools are sitting in landfills right now, doesn't it?
