Showerthought: read that a power trowel blade can spin at 300 RPM and I had no idea

I was looking up blade care tips on a random forum last night and stumbled on this stat about how fast they actually spin. I mean I knew they were fast but 300 RPM feels crazy when you think about the concrete underneath. I've been finishing for about 8 years now and never really considered the exact speed. It kind of blew my mind because that's way higher than I guessed. I was thinking maybe 150 tops. Made me wonder if I've been running mine too slow on bigger slabs. Has anyone else checked their machine's spec sheet and found something surprising?

300 RPM, holy crap lol. I would've guessed way lower too, maybe 100 or something. That definitely changes how I think about the wear on the blades now.
