Plastic sheeting trap on a slab in Fargo, 3 hours of rework

We were pouring a 60 foot driveway strip last month in Fargo and the forecast said dry, so I left the plastic on overnight to keep the cure even. Woke up to condensation trapped under it, the surface had this slick film that wouldnt take a broom finish at all. Had to grind the top half inch off with a walk behind, then re-pour a thin overlay before the owner showed up at noon. Took 3 hours of labor and about $400 in material I wasnt planning on. My mistake was trusting the forecast over checking the dew point at 4am. Now I always pull plastic by 6am if there's any temp drop overnight, no exceptions. Anyone else had this happen with poly vs burlap on a cold morning pour?

ugh that dew point thing gets me every time... last spring I did a small patio and left the poly on thinking I was being smart, woke up to the same slick mess but it was mostly just in the corners where the plastic sagged. ended up telling the homeowner it was a "textured sealant" and they believed me for like a week...
