I still hand-trowel edges but my partner swears by power trowels now

We had a 40-yard slab pour at that new auto shop on Elm Street last spring. I always figured hand-troweling gave me better control on the edges and corners, but my partner brought in a power trowel and finished the whole middle section in like 10 minutes. It got me wondering if I'm just being stubborn about the old ways or if there's really a difference in durability. Anyone else have a job where switching tools changed your mind about finishing?

Let him touch your edges with that thing" - I just handed him a guard and said "use this or no deal." Worked fine after that.
