Dropped $400 on a magnesium bull float and it was the best call I ever made.
Had a big pour for a warehouse floor last month, about 800 yards. The crew was pushing me to just use the old aluminum one, but I went for the mag. The difference in how it cuts and closes the surface is night and day, no more fighting to get it flat. Anyone still using aluminum on big commercial jobs?

Best call I ever made" is what I say when I skip the third trip to the hardware store. Mag float is a close second though.

Our 500-yard slab last spring was a dream with a mag float, no more chasing low spots.
