Tried the 'just wait for the next one' strategy versus the 'sprint across the platform' move for a connecting train in Chicago. One worked way better.

Okay but which one worked. That's the key detail. The sprint is a classic Chicago move, pure chaos. But sometimes you just watch the doors close and the next train is literally right behind it. Depends on the line for sure.
