The 6:15 express bus got a new driver, went from silent to standup comedy

For two years the morning express was dead quiet. Nobody talked, just headphones and coffee fumes. Then last Tuesday a new driver named Rita got on the PA and started announcing delays like she was hosting a game show. Now people actually laugh when she calls the 3rd Street pothole 'the crater of destiny.' Yesterday she made up a nickname for a regular passenger who always sleeps with his mouth open. I almost missed my stop because I was waiting for her next bit. Has anyone else had a transit worker who completely changed the vibe overnight?

Oh man, that’s amazing! We had a bus driver who turned every stop into a mini trivia game, and suddenly everyone on the route actually knew each other’s names. It took a grumpy commute and made it something I looked forward to.
