Question about $30 noise-cancelling earbuds for the bus
I grabbed a pair of cheap earbuds for $30 to block out the morning chatter on the 6:15 express, and they work okay but the battery dies halfway through my trip. On the flip side, my buddy swears by his $150 Sonys that last the whole ride - is the extra cash actually worth it for a bus commute, or am I just being cheap?

Wait, are you seriously comparing $30 buds to $150 Sonys on battery life alone? Bro, you get what you pay for. Cheap earbuds usually skimp on battery because they're using old tech or tiny batteries to save money. For a bus commute that's like an hour each way, the Sonys will easily last a full week without charging. Even mid-range $60 ones would probably beat those $30 ones on battery. Plus, the noise canceling on cheap ones is usually just passive, not active, so it's basically just earplugs with a speaker. Spend the extra cash, your ears and your morning sanity will thank you.
