Pro tip: Standing at the front door of the bus saved me 12 minutes
I used to always sit in the back of the bus, but every day I was losing time waiting for people to get off at my stop. Then about three months ago I started standing near the front door right after the last busy intersection before my stop. Now I save about 12 minutes total each week because I'm the first one off and can walk straight to the transfer. Anyone else have a spot on the bus that works better for them?

oh man, standing at the front is a huge game changer. i started doing it last year after i missed my transfer like three times in one week. now i just plop myself right next to the driver about five minutes before my stop and i'm off like a shot. plus you get to see all the chaos of people trying to squeeze past each other from the back while you're already halfway out the door.

Right @the_elizabeth, isn't it wild how much easier that makes things? I started doing the same last winter and now I can't believe I spent years fighting my way through the standing crowd to get off.
