Phone died mid-transfer and I missed my stop in Portland
Happened last Tuesday. I was on the 4 bus heading downtown, using my phone for the GPS and earbuds for a podcast. Battery showed 15% when I got on, figured that was fine for a 25 minute ride. Nope. Screen went black right around the Burnside bridge. I had no idea where I was, no paper map, nothing. Ended up riding two extra stops before I recognized a street and jumped off. Walked 6 blocks in the rain. Now I keep a folded paper bus schedule in my jacket pocket, old school but it works. Anyone else rely too much on their phone for directions and get burned?
