My bus app lied about arrival times for 3 straight days
Took the 72 bus to work for 2 years now. App said it was coming in 7 minutes for 20 minutes. Three days in a row. Finally asked the driver what gives. Turns out their GPS system went down last Tuesday. Nobody told passengers. Learned to check the physical schedule board at the stop instead of just the app. Anybody else have their transit app totally fail on them?

My buddy Mike had the same issue with the 44 bus last winter. His app said the bus was 5 minutes away for 25 minutes straight while he stood in the freezing rain. He finally called the transit company and they said the tracker was off by a mile because of a server glitch. Now he just shows up 10 minutes early and waits no matter what the app says. That app is basically useless now.
