My 20 minute ride home turned into 2 hours because of a signal failure at Clark/Lake, so which is better: a slow ride you can plan for or a fast ride that blows up?
Tuesday was the best ride I've had in 8 months, door to door in 19 minutes, and then Wednesday the Blue Line died at Clark/Lake and I stood on the platform for 50 minutes with a guy loudly eating chips. Give me your pick, a slow but steady schedule or a fast run that randomly falls apart?
Pick the slow ride every time. At least with a slow ride you know what you're getting, you can nap, you can read, you can plan your life around it. That fast ride is like a bad ex, shows up perfect for 8 months and then leaves you stranded at Clark/Lake with a chip cruncher as your only friend. Give me boring and reliable over quick and psycho.
