I bought a $90 folding bike for the bus instead of a $400 one and here is how it went
My bus only runs twice an hour in the evening and the stop is a mile from my apartment, so I needed a way to close that gap. I went back and forth between a cheap $90 folding bike off marketplace and a $400 one from a shop downtown. I picked the cheap one because I figured if it got jacked or rained on I would not cry about it. Two things broke in the first week, the seat clamp and the rear brake, but I swapped both for parts I already had in my junk drawer. Honestly a lighter bike would be nicer on the racks, has anyone found a sub $200 folder that actually holds up on city streets?
