Bus vs train for my 45 minute trip downtown, train wins every time

I know everyone in this group seems to love the bus because it's cheaper and has more stops, but I gotta say the train is just better for my daily commute between Oak Park and the Loop. The bus takes me 75 minutes on a good day with all the traffic lights and stopping every block. The train does it in 45 flat, no surprises. I've been doing this for 2 years now and I've only had one delay on the train while the bus gives me 3-4 delays per week. Has anyone else tried both routes and ended up switching to rail?

Oak Park to the Loop here too, been doing it for 3 years. One thing nobody brings up is the temperature difference. In winter the bus is either a sauna or an icebox depending on the driver. Train is way more consistent. Plus the bus seats get that weird damp smell when it rains, train cars aren't perfect but nowhere near as bad.

You ever notice if the bus drivers run the heat like they're trying to grow tropical plants in there or is it just my route?

January 2019 I had a bus driver on the 20 who had the heat cranked so high people were taking their coats off. Then you get the one who drives with the door open a crack in February. @nathan_hill60 is right about the smell too, that wet seat smell stays with you all day.
