Bus transfer trick that cut my downtown ride by 20 minutes

I used to wait 30 minutes at Union Station for the 7 bus, then I noticed the 12 and 7 meet at 5th Street almost the same time. Now I hop the 12 to 5th and walk two blocks, saves me time every single morning. Has anyone else found a weird transfer combo that beats the direct route?

Ha! That's the kind of hack I live for. I've got one where the 4 and 9 sync up at Oak Street, so I skip the full loop and grab coffee before work instead.
