Appreciation post: That guy who yelled at me on the 7am bus

I always crammed my backpack on the seat next to me during rush hour. Some dude in a suit yelled "that's a person spot not a bag spot" and now I hold it on my lap. Has anyone else had a stranger call them out and actually improve your commute?

Honestly, that guy was a hero in a bad suit. I had a similar thing on a train once where some lady just kept sighing really loud until I finally got the hint that my guitar case was technically taking up two seats. Ngl, I still think about her sometimes when I'm cramming my bag under my legs like a contortionist.

The sighing lady is a whole mood. I got tired of the bag shuffle on buses so I just started keeping a small bungee cord in my backpack. Now I strap the bag to the seat frame in front of me or lock it to the luggage rack. Makes it real easy to ignore the guilt trip.
