Appreciation post: I used to think the bus was always late, but it turns out I was the problem
For like a year, I was convinced my 7:15 AM bus was always 5 minutes behind schedule. I'd show up at 7:10, miss it, and have to wait 30 minutes. Last month, I actually timed it with my phone's clock against the transit app's real-time tracker. For two weeks, the bus was within 90 seconds of its posted time every single day. I was just judging it by my watch, which runs fast. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but I bet other people blame the system when their own timing is off. Has anyone else had a moment like that where you realized you were the unreliable part of your commute?
