Am I the only one who spent 40 minutes hunting for a seat on the 8:15 express before realizing I was on the wrong train?
I boarded what I thought was my usual commuter rail out of Boston last Tuesday and walked through four cars packed full before a conductor asked why I was on the Providence line. Has anyone else had their morning commute completely wrecked by a simple mix-up like this?

Man, I feel your pain. I once did almost the same thing on the New Haven line, pacing back and forth for a solid 25 minutes before a guy tapped me on the shoulder and said I was on the wrong train. The worst part was I missed a meeting and had to call in from a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot. Your mileage may vary, but I still double-check the train number every single time now.

Dude, that Dunkin' Donuts parking lot meeting sounds brutal, I bet that was a rough day. But you know what's funny, even after you think you've learned your lesson, it still comes back to bite you. I swear I check the screen, the app, and the board twice and still get that little panic feeling right when the doors close. It's like your brain just has a blind spot for certain train numbers or platforms, no matter how many times you've done the route.
