A kid on the 7:15 train to Chicago changed how I see my morning ride...
He told his mom the train sounds like a giant cat purring, and now I can't unhear it, which makes the whole crowded trip feel a bit calmer, anyone else have a weird thing that makes their commute better?

That's a great way to see it. My bus makes this weird squeal when it brakes, and my friend said it sounds like a whale singing. Now I just picture a friendly whale following us downtown instead of getting annoyed. It totally changes the vibe.
