Volunteer shift at the food bank changed my signup habits

I used to just grab the first shift I saw on the app and hope for the best. Last month I showed up at the warehouse in Austin and they had me sorting cans for 3 hours, no breaks, because they thought I was the forklift certified guy. The coordinator finally figured it out after my third question about pallet jacks, but by then I was stuck doing the grunt work. Now I read the full task list and reply to the confirmation email with any skill gaps, takes me two minutes and saves everyone the headache. Anyone else had a volunteer gig where the job description didn't match reality?
