The before and after on my neighbor's yard after 3 weeks of me watering it is insane

Last month I offered to water her plants while she was away and the grass went from this sad brown patch to like a mini golf course green. Did I just unlock some hidden landscaping power or has anyone else accidentally become a lawn hero for someone?

Had the same thing happen with my neighbor's tomato plants a couple summers ago. I was just trying to keep them alive while they were on vacation, and by the time they got back, the vines were absolutely loaded with fruit. They thought I'd been out there with special fertilizer or something, but nope, just plain old water every morning. It's funny how a little bit of consistent care can make such a big difference, especially when people are gone and things get neglected. You definitely earned some major neighbor points there.

Watering consistently is literally the most underrated thing ever. People think you need expensive products or some magic trick when really just water does the job. Your neighbor probably wasn't watering enough before or was skipping days. Three weeks of proper care can totally transform a yard if it was just stressed and not dead. That mini golf green look is totally achievable with daily water and nothing else. Did you actually enjoy doing it or are you just happy you didn't kill everything?

Honestly consistent watering is basically a cheat code for plants, nobody gives it enough credit.
