Our neighborhood tool library lost its grant funding after 8 years

The community tool library on 14th street shut down last month when the city pulled their grant. I borrowed a post hole digger from them in 2019 for a fence project and it saved me like $60. Now I gotta drive 20 miles to the next one or just buy stuff I'll use once. Anyone else lose a community resource like that and find a way to bring it back?

Can't believe they just killed it after 8 years like that. That thing was a lifesaver for people who don't have a garage full of tools. I remember borrowing their tile cutter for a bathroom redo and it was barely used, like new. They probably saved hundreds of people from buying stuff they'd never touch again. City probably thinks everyone's got a Home Depot credit card or something.

Talk to the local hardware store about sponsoring it.
