Just realized the local 'tool library' in my town actually works

I was skeptical about borrowing a power washer from a community shed, thinking it would be broken or a hassle, but the one in Springfield is organized and the tools are maintained. After using it to clean my deck last weekend, I saved about $150 versus a rental. Has anyone else had a good or bad experience with a community tool share program?

Read a news piece last year about one in Portland that got a big grant to expand. Sounded like it was really taking off there.

Wait, you're saying one single food truck in Portland got a big grant to expand? That's wild, I had no idea those things could pull that kind of money. @tessa_hart18 probably has a point about the rain though, but still, a grant that big means someone really believed in it. I guess if the food is good enough and the business is solid, even the weather can't stop it. Makes me wonder what they're serving that got so much attention in the first place.

@angela_allen53 Yeah, right until it rains for 300 days straight. Then we'll see how "taking off" it is.
