Just realized our neighborhood watch group was missing a key piece

Our block had a few break-ins last fall, so we started a group chat to share updates. After three months, we only had about 15 people in it and info was slow. In January, I printed simple flyers with the chat link and a QR code and put them in mailboxes. Now we have over 40 active members and people report stuff like strange cars right away. What's the best way you've found to get more locals to join a safety group?

I mean, the flyer itself was the key part for me. The QR code just made it easier. Getting something physical in people's hands makes it feel more real than just another link online.

Did you check if putting flyers in mailboxes is okay with the post office first?

Laura's point about the mail is good... but honestly, the QR code on the flyer was the real key. My older neighbors would never type in a link, but they can all point their phone camera at a square.
