I finally stopped donating to a charity I never checked, and it cost me $340
Last week I added up my monthly donations and realized I had given $340 over 10 months to a group I found through a Facebook ad. I never looked them up. When I finally checked, their site had no address, no staff names, and only a PayPal button. I called the number on their page and it went to a voicemail for a different company. Does anyone here have a simple way to check a charity before giving, or a trusted site you use?
