Helped a guy at the grocery store checkout and he paid it forward 3 times over
I was at the Stop & Shop in Watertown last Saturday and this older guy in front of me was short on his total by like $8.50. He was about to put back a carton of eggs and some milk, so I just handed the cashier a ten and said cover it. He thanked me and left. Two weeks later I'm at the same store and a lady taps me on the shoulder saying someone wanted her to buy my coffee. Turns out it was the same guy I helped, he saw me in the parking lot and gave the cashier $5 for whatever I was buying. So I took that and bought a pack of granola bars for the kid behind me who was begging his mom for a snack. Has anyone else had a small good deed just keep going like that?

That part where the same guy spotted you in the parking lot and bought your coffee really hit home. I had a similar thing happen at a WaWa near my house - I covered a woman's gas after she realized she left her wallet at home, and about a month later I found a note on my car with a $10 gift card inside, no name or anything. Little things like that just keep bouncing around, you know? Makes you feel like maybe people are paying more attention than we think.

@evan_jenkins same here, I once grabbed a mom's forgotten coupon at Target and the next week someone left a $5 bill under my windshield wiper with a sticky note that just said "pay it forward." It's wild how these small things circle back around.
