Found out my city's volunteer fire crew covers 1,200 square miles with 9 guys, and now I get why they beg for help
Saw that stat on the county's community response page last week and it stopped me cold. Nine people for an area bigger than some states, and they still show up at 2am for a cat in a tree. Anyone here ever volunteered for something like that, and what did the time commitment really look like?
