Found a hack for getting neighborhood watch to actually work
Our block had zero participation in the watch program for like 2 years. I started a simple group text instead of email chains and meetings, and now 12 of my neighbors actually report things. The trick was keeping it casual, like 'Hey anyone see the suspicious van on Elm Street around 7pm last night?' Has anyone else tried ditching formal meetings for something simpler?

Works well" until your cousin sends 47 memes in a row at 2 AM. Had to mute my family group because of that.
