Vent: Our hood filter logs were totally fake for 6 months

Found out our grease filter cleaning service was just stamping the tags without touching them, manager in Denver caught it when they did a random spark test. We racked up like 500 hours of cooking on clogged filters until last Tuesday, anyone else audit their hood cleaning invoices?.

Stamping tags without actually cleaning is a whole new level of lazy, like charging for a car wash and just spritzing the windshield. That spark test catching them is beautiful though, bet that manager felt like a detective solving a case. Six months of fake logs means somebody was signing off on paperwork they never even looked at, which says a lot about how the whole thing got missed for so long. Clogged filters for 500 hours is no joke either, that is a fire waiting to happen and I hope whoever was faking those tags got more than a stern talking to. Auditing those invoices sounds boring as hell but clearly somebody has to do it.
