The hood filter replacement that took 3 trips to the supply house

Honestly I thought swapping out the grease filters on our hood system would be a 20 minute job. First trip I bought the wrong size because I didn't measure right. Second trip they were out of stock so I had to drive 45 minutes to another location. Took me a full afternoon just to get the right ones and install them. Has anyone else had a simple kitchen repair turn into a whole day ordeal?

Thats classic. Its like the universe just decides you need a whole lesson in patience when you start a simple project. @riley_price, your faucet saga sounds brutal too, three days for a part is crazy. The thing is, once you mess up the first trip, you start second guessing everything and end up wasting even more time overthinking the next steps. I swear my local hardware store has a secret wager going on how many times they can send someone back.

Oh man, I feel your pain. I had a similar thing with a faucet cartridge replacement that turned into three days of chasing down the right part because the plumbing supply guy kept giving me the wrong model. It's wild how what should be a quick swap can snowball into a whole afternoon or more.
