Dropped $700 on a combi oven that barely fit through my door

I splurged on a refurbished combi oven last month for my small cafe kitchen, thinking it would speed up my prep work. The delivery guys had to take the door off its hinges and shave down the frame just to squeeze it in, which cost me another $150. Has anyone else bought gear that was way bigger than you expected and had to MacGyver it into place?

Did you at least get the old door frame fixed properly or are you just living with the battle scars now lol? I'd be paranoid about heat escaping through those gaps forever.

I mean @janab82, a buddy of mine had to take his new fridge door off and flip it around just to get it in his kitchen.
