Vent: Kirby Morgan VS Ocean Reef full face mask, no contest after a muddy job in Corpus Christi
I tried an Ocean Reef for a 4 hour hull cleaning in near zero vis and that thing fogged up so bad I could barely see my gauges. Swapped to a Kirby Morgan 37 the next day, same conditions, zero fog and way easier comms. Has anyone else found a specific full face that just works better for nasty water?

Isn't it funny how people get so loyal to a brand they can't admit when something just doesn't cut it? I see it all the time with my neighbors and their lawnmowers or even their favorite coffee shops. They'll complain about the same problems over and over but still won't try something different. It's like they think admitting a brand isn't perfect means they made a bad choice. But honestly, different gear works for different jobs, and that's just common sense. A full face mask that works fine in clear water might be total trash in mud, and that's okay to say out loud.

My buddy in Galveston had the same problem with an Ocean Reef on a dredge job. It's like people get married to a brand and ignore that some tools just don't work in certain conditions. Reminds me of how my uncle insists on using a certain brand of waders even though they leak every time he's in the marsh.

My buddy Tom ran an Ocean Reef in the Houston ship channel and spent 20 minutes just clearing the glass.
