The dredge tender on our Pete boat kept counting the anchor swing wrong at False Creek
I was spotting for a diver last month on a small dredge job near False Creek and the tender kept calling the anchor scope at 3 to 1 when it was closer to 2 to 1, and that slack let the boat drift about 4 feet during the dive. Nobody else on deck caught it because the wind was quiet and the surface looked flat, but I could see the tag line pulling tight from the rail. It matters because that little drift changed where the diver's hose sat against the hull, and I've seen a pinch happen from less. How do you all double check anchor scope when the tender is new and the tide is running?
