The difference in my dive log after switching to a Kirby Morgan helmet
I was using an old band mask for years on harbor jobs in Seattle, and my log was full of notes about poor comms and fogging. After my company got us Kirby Morgan SuperLite 17s last fall, the next six months of entries show clear comms every time and zero fog issues. The difference in job speed and safety is huge. Anyone else notice a specific piece of gear that totally changed their daily reports?

Yeah, the part about the log changing really hits home. My buddy was on a survey boat and had this ancient drysuit that leaked a tiny bit, so every single report had notes about being damp and cold. His boss finally got him a new one, and he said it was like reading logs from a different person, just notes about the work and no complaints. I mean, it's crazy how one bad piece of gear can color your whole day.

Totally, @zara_hill46, that "like reading logs from a different person" thing is so true. I had a pair of work gloves where the lining was shot, just constantly bunching up. My notes from those days are just full of short, angry sentences about dropping screws. Got a new pair and suddenly I'm writing full, clear notes about the actual job. It's wild how a small gear fail just eats all your focus.

Man, that reminds me of my old hiking boots... every trip report was just about the blisters.
