Pro tip: Hand signals never let me down like radio chat has

I know everyone loves the clear talk from helmets now, but radios can cut out. Nothing beats knowing your buddy's signs by heart.

During a muddy obstacle course, our comms cut out completely. We fell back on simple hand signs to keep moving. It was a sloppy but solid backup plan.

But what if you can't see hands at all?

Guess you've never tried to signal through thick smoke or at night. Radios work when you can't see each other at all, and that's a deal breaker for me.
