Overheard a teenager at the comic shop say 'nobody reads paper anymore' and it got me thinking

Man that reminds me of when I was at a garage sale last summer and this kid tried to sell me his whole comic collection for cheap cause he said "digital is the future." I ended up buying like 50 issues of 90s X-Men for twenty bucks. The paper smell alone is worth it.

Wait, did you actually flip through them before buying or just grab the whole box? Because half the fun of 90s X-Men is finding the random issues where the art gets weird or the story totally jumps the shark. I gotta know if that kid had any clue what he was letting go of, or if he just saw "old comics" and figured they were worthless. Also, twenty bucks for 50 issues is basically stealing, so I hope you at least told him to grab a soda with the money or something.
