My neighbor said something about comic fans that stuck with me

I was talking to my neighbor, a guy in his 70s, about the new Spider-Man movie. He said, 'You know, I don't read the books anymore, but I still like hearing what you all think about them.' It made me realize we're not just fans of the stories, but of the talk about them too. That conversation in his driveway last Tuesday changed how I see this whole hobby. Do you have a moment that made you look at being a fan differently?

Wait, you just talked comics with your 70-year-old neighbor? That's actually so cool. It's wild how the best part is sometimes just sharing it with someone, even if they're not deep in it anymore. Makes the whole thing feel more real.

That sounds nice but honestly the stories themselves matter more than the chat. Sorry @lily_dixon27.

Totally agree! My dad doesn't get my favorite games but his old stories about arcades make the whole hobby feel alive.
