My $12 longbox gamble paid off way better than expected
Picked up a mystery longbox at a garage sale in Akron for $12, mostly junk but buried in the middle was a complete run of Spectre from 1987. That's 31 issues I never expected to find, and three of them are worth more than I paid for the whole box. What's the best find you've had from a blind lot or auction? Just curious if this is normal luck or if I should play the lottery.

Man, that Spectre run alone is insane, but the part about three issues covering your $12 is what gets me. I had a similar thing happen with a $5 short box at a flea market in Columbus, it was all early 90s Image stuff nobody wanted, but tucked in the back was a complete run of Sandman Mystery Theatre with issue one in near mint. Sold that single issue for like $80 a week later, and I still think about how lucky that was. Honestly, garage sale finds are pure chaos, you just gotta dig through the junk and hope.
