DAE drop way too much on a CGC slab only to find a major flaw later?

I paid $85 to get my copy of X-Men #129 graded, and the slab came back with a 9.0, but I just noticed a color-breaking spine tick the grader totally missed.

That's a color-breaking tick, so it's not a 9.0.

Guess I've been grading my own life on a very forgiving scale then, because I definitely have some color-breaking ticks. My personal grade would drop from a 9.0 to a solid 6.5 if we're being strict about it! That's a good catch on the card, though. It's wild how one tiny flaw can change the whole value like that. Makes you look at your own stuff way more carefully.

But a tiny flaw can add character too.
