A regular at the store told me I was pulling too many issues a month

Guy said I was hoarding, not collecting, and it hit different because I had 37 pulls at my local shop. I cut it down to 12 and actually started reading the ones I was getting instead of bagging them. Anyone else have a stranger make you rethink your pull list?

Man, 12 is the sweet spot for actually reading stuff.

Nah, I actually think 12 is too early for most people. You gotta hit 14 or 15 before you start picking up on the stuff between the lines. Those "classics" they push on you in high school are a total waste if you haven't lived a little first. @troy_scott is right that reading clicks at a certain age, but for me it was way later when I had some real world context to hang the words on. You need some life under your belt before a lot of that heavier stuff makes any sense.
