A guy at my local shop told me to flip my comics upside down in the box and it actually fixed my spine roll problem
I had about 40 Bronze Age books with nasty spine roll from being stored stacked flat in a closet in Garland for a decade. A older collector at the Wednesday pull list told me to bag them, flip them upside down in the box, and let the weight of the stack press the roll out over time. I tried it on 12 books and checked them after 3 weeks, and 9 of them were noticeably flatter, no pressing needed. I know it sounds like comic book urban legend junk, but it worked better than the two books I sent to a presser for $15 each. Has anyone else tried this trick, and does it hold up long term or do they just roll back?
