Warning: I thought the old guy at the Pomona swap meet was hyping patina, now I'm not sure
Six months ago a guy near the gate there spent 20 minutes telling me to leave the faded paint on my 1968 C10 instead of shooting it with a $4,000 respray. Half of me thinks patina is just rust with good PR and a clean truck is always worth more. The other half watched a worn original sell for more than a shiny restored one at the same meet, and now I can't decide. Where do you all land on keeping original paint vs. a full respray when it comes time to sell?
