Vent: The judge at the Orland Park show docked me 3 points for my repop hoses and I finally get why
I put repo rubber on my 66 Caprice last winter because the originals were cracked and I figured nobody would notice, but the judge leaned under the hood in about 10 seconds and asked if I still had the old ones. He said the stampings on the original clamps and the texture on the hoses are what he checks first, and swapping them cost me 3 points on a car that should have scored 94. Weird thing is, the original hoses were in my garage the whole time, so now I am wondering how many other guys got dinged like this before they figured out what judges actually look at.
