DAE think matching numbers is overrated after what I saw at the Hershey swap meet
Everyone in this hobby keeps telling me a car is worthless without the original block, but I watched a guy at the Hershey swap meet in October walk past a numbers matching 1966 Mustang fastback to buy a non matching one for $4,000 less. He said he wanted a driver, not a museum piece, and that the 289 in it had been rebuilt twice anyway. I get the value thing, but half the cars at my local cruise night have replacement motors and nobody cares. Am I crazy for thinking a clean body and solid frame matter more than a stamp on the block, or is the paperwork really worth that much to you guys?
