Remember when we actually talked to strangers at the DMV
Last month I was sitting in line at the DMV in Austin for 2 hours and everyone was just staring at their phones... nobody even made eye contact. Three years ago I would have ended up chatting with someone about their car or where they worked. Has anyone else noticed how much quieter waiting rooms have gotten since everyone started scrolling?

God, right? I actually read this article last week about how waiting rooms are basically becoming social dead zones. It said something like 70% of people at the DMV or doctor's office just bury their faces in their phones now, compared to like 20% a decade ago. Kinda makes me miss those random conversations about someone's busted tail light or where they got their car from (you know, the boring but kinda nice chats).
