My uncle at Thanksgiving said he trusts a paper ballot more than an app, and I still can't shake it
We were at his place near Dayton and he brought up the county switching to those touchscreen machines back in 2019, and how he asked a poll worker what happens if the power blinks. She just shrugged. He's 71 and not techy at all, but the way he put it stuck with me: "a paper trail you can recount is boring, and boring is good for voting." I've been pro-app for everything for years, but now I honestly don't know where I land. Anyone here actually work the polls and know how the backups work?
