Blew $60 on a smart lock that fought me for two weeks

Honestly, I thought I was being smart getting a wifi deadbolt during a sale last month. Install took 20 minutes, but the app would drop connection every other day. Tried resetting it 6 times, moved the router closer, even bought a signal booster. Then it locked me out at 2am when the battery died, no physical keyhole on the thing. Had to call a locksmith for $80. Total waste of time and cash. Anyone else ditched smart home stuff after a bad week with it?
