Went to that new cafe on 5th Street and their 'light roast' was basically hot brown water.

I mean, I paid $6.75 for it and couldn't taste a single note they listed on the chalkboard, so has anyone else had a brew that just completely missed the mark from a place that should know better?

Wait, was that the place with the blue awning? I actually liked their light roast, it tasted really bright and fruity to me, like the apricot note they mentioned. Maybe they had a bad batch or the barista was off that day?

Yeah that blue awning spot can be hit or miss, hugo_jones. Their light roast is usually solid, but I got a sour cup last week that tasted totally off. Might just depend on the day you go.

Huh, I actually have to disagree a bit with you both. I've been going to that blue awning spot for months now and every cup I've had from their light roast was super clean and consistent, @hugo_jones. I mean, maybe I've just been lucky or they fixed whatever was going on, but it's been one of the more reliable places for me lately.
